See Purple posts fall into two categories.
COMMON GROUND posts are concepts and ideas that have broad support across the political spectrum. We categorize them as PURPLE for majority support among Democrats, Republicans, and independents; AMETHYST (deep purple) for super-majority support; and LAVENDER (almost purple) for 55% majority support in total but one party has slightly less than a majority.
PURPLE MOMENTS highlight examples of red & blue working together.
Amethyst
At least 75% agree with this concept with at least 65% each of republicans, democrats and independents.
Purple
At least 50% agree with the concept and at least 50% each of republicans, democrats, and independents.
Lavender
Almost purple. At least 55% agree with this concept but one political group is below 50% but at least 40% agree.
