PURPLE: It's a Bad Time to Buy a House

A new poll from Gallup found that 69% of Americans believe now is a bad time to buy a house. The combination of record-high home prices, rising mortgage interest rates and a limited supply of housing are the likely contributing factors. It’s the first time since Gallup began surveying Americans on this question beginning in 1978 that more than 50% of people across the country thought it was a bad time to buy. This sentiment is also shared across political affiliations as 68% of Democrats, 65% of Republicans and 73% of Independents said it was a bad time to buy a house.
