PURPLE: Government Shutdown Threat Decreases Trust

Republicans, Democrats, and independents agree the threat of a shutdown decreases trust in the federal government. According to a recent survey by the Partnership for Public Service, 67% of Republicans, 71% of Democrats, and 66% of independents said the threat lowers their trust.
