AMETHYST: A.I Writing News Is Bad

According to a recent Monmouth poll, a large majority of Americans regardless of political party think that it would be a bad thing if news articles were written by artificial intelligence including 75% of Democrats, 82% of Republicans, and 76% of independents. However, 72% of Americans think it will happen.

The same poll also indicated nearly 90% of Americans, including 91% of both Democrats and Republicans, think it is likely that students will use AI programs like ChatGPT to cheat on schoolwork.
